The Youth Group Game That Actually Works for Teens

Most youth-group games either feel too churchy (and the visitors check out) or too try-hard (and the regulars roll their eyes). Family Feud lands in the middle. Teens immediately recognize the format, the questions are a mix of faith and everyday teen life, and the competitive energy gets even the kid in the back of the room buzzing in.

It's also flexible enough to run weekly. Save your game, swap in a couple of new questions each week, and pull it out for the last 20 minutes of Wednesday night. Within a month your students will be asking when the next game is.

A Built-In Discussion Starter

The smartest youth pastors use the game as a discussion launcher. After a question about anxiety, prayer, or family, hit pause and ask: "How does this actually play out for you?" The competitive energy of the game lowers everyone's defenses, and teens will share things they'd never bring up in a normal lesson setting.
