The free plan lets up to 3 players join from their phones, which is perfect for a test run. Most retirement parties have more guests than that, so Pro removes the player cap and supports up to 24 teams. You can also use Solo Host Mode on the free plan: the host runs the board and the room shouts answers, with no phones needed.
